Obituary of John Hugh Hartling

Hartling, John H. “Midge” , 69 of New Glasgow passed away October 9, 2023 at home. Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Clarence and Hughetta (LeBlanc)Hartling. He worked for Eastern Mainland Housing until his retirement due to ill health. He liked hunting and spending time with the boys at the camp. John is survived by his wife Betty, step-daughters; Valerie (Frank)White, Stellarton; Donna (Duncan Ross) Bell, Trenton; Margie (Fred)Forrest, Oxford; Angela (Wayne)Allain, Trenton; a stepson John (Tina Worth) Bell, Antigonish; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters; Josephine Morgan, Lindsey, Ontario; Liz (John)Nairn, Hamilton, Ontario; Mary Coady, New Glasgow; Shirley McRae, Waverly, NS; O’Ritha Grant (John Nunn), Saltspring, NS; a brother Chuck Hartling, Oshawa, Ontario; many nieces and nephews in Ontario, Nova Scotia and England. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Ronald and Sam Hartling and a nephew Jonathan Grant. Cremation has taken place. There will be no services at John’s request.
